Harvest Gardener Now Live!

The Harvest Gardener website is finally ready!  It’s been a fun challenge to learn how to design and build a website over the last few months.  We’ve designed the website to include information on how to grow and use garden fruits & vegetables, reviews of books, magazines, and equipment, and also provide convenient pick-up sales of our locally grown plants.  Of course the content will take some time to build so check back to see what’s new.

Sign up for our Harvest Gardener Newsletter today to keep up with when our local transplants are available for sale and with the latest information on the Harvest Gardener website.

    Hello there,
Mike Malone and myself came and got some veggie plants from you in Feburary. We bought some of your feltilizer but totally forgot how often you said was best to use it. We would appreciate your suggestions.
    Thanks so much!

Hi Nina and Mike, It is best to apply a handful of fertilizer mixed into the soil at planting time and then add another handful just sprinkled around the plant when you see the first small green tomatoes start to set. If you apply too much fertilizer too often you get a huge plant that will never set any fruit. Check out our tomato planting guide under the How To tab in the menu for more info and pictures!
